Don’t let your fashion sense be as gloomy as July

The rainy season is here. But that doesn’t mean your fashion sense has to be as gloomy as the weather right? So what can you do to add some color to the dark skies outside?

Easy. Bright colors. Do not be afraid to wear something colorful and fun on a rainy day. The bad weather is already as depressing as it can be so why not go out of your way and wear something cheerful and cute?

But whatever you dress up on out of the house, do yourself a favor and keep your suede at home. Water usually ruins it. Don’t risk ruining your clothes at this time of the year. Stick with rubber, pleather, or protectant-treated leather shoes. I know you’re dying to show off your favorite suede handbag but will you really risk ruining it in the rain?

Wearing cardigans over a tee and boots paired with shorts is also a good idea. By forgoing jeans in favor of shorts, you avoid having soaked pants all day since you’ll be going through a lot of flooded areas at this time of the year.
