Boardwalk Charity visits the elderly at Golden Acres

Posted on July 1, 2012 by Jeff Sanchez

Everybody needs to have somebody to take care of them, through good times and bad, to be that constant shoulder a person can rely on through thick and thin and Boardwalk, through the humanitarian efforts of the Boardwalk Charity Foundation, Inc., (BCFI) became just that for the elderly people of Golden Acres last May 12.

The elderly people who made Golden Acres their home were more than happy to see and welcome the representatives from BCFI, each more than excited to be there for them. Most of the people who live there don’t have any relatives visiting them anymore so the sight of a group of volunteers from the Boardwalk family paying them a visit melted their hearts.

Through the cooperation of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Boardwalk Charity Foundation were given the golden opportunity to be with the elderly people of Golden Acres and give them the love and affection that they deserve.

The name people think of first when it comes to direct selling in the Philippines, Boardwalk proved that uplifting the lives of every Filipino, both young and old, is also its business as they put a smile on each of the elderly’s faces with welcoming arms bearing gifts.

Each of the elderly people of Golden Acres can rest easy knowing that they can depend on the Boardwalk Charity Foundation to always be there for them no matter what.

BCFI is a charity foundation that provides comprehensive programs and support services to the poor and the disadvantaged.

The organization is affiliated with various humanitarian institutions like the Gawad Kalinga in building communities to end poverty, ANCOP in giving education for everyone through their Educational Assistance Program, Boys Town in giving children a fresh start, and the Marikina Watershed in providing a haven for people afflicted with calamities.
